Our approach to ministry is to help every person, whatever their age, or stage in life, to grow spiritually. To that end we attempt to think through what venues, opportunities, and materials are best. We want to meet our people where they are and take them where they need to go in their walk with the Lord.

Covenant Renewal Worship

Liturgical worship, based on Call to Worship, Confession, Consecration, Communion and Commissioning.

Men’s Wednesday Morning Prayer Breakfast

James says, “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” Every Wednesday Morning, the men of our church, young and old, gather in the home of one of our members to share a breakfast and to pray.

Family Theological Study

Every other Wednesday night families in our church gather in the home of one of our members for theological and biblical teaching and discussion. This is followed by a time of fellowship and recreation.

Mercy Ministries

Every Second Wednesday people from our church gather with others at the Bristol Regional Women’s Health Center to witness to the sanctity of human life.

Women’s Book Study

Women meet once a month in discussion of a current book of interest and fellowship.

Leaders Are Readers

Group discussions of a current book of interest.

One-on-One Discipleship

Accountability sessions, especially for new members.

Wellness Visits

Pastor, along with another elder or deacon visit every household, making the rounds on an annual basis. This is a time of encouragement to household members and also to determine spiritual & physical well being.

Our families delight in hosting one another, especially newcomers, to a time of household fellowship and “breaking of bread” i.e., a delicious meal.

Monthly Music Night

Families meet monthly for jamming, singing and fellowship.

Every First Sunday we gather for pot-luck, when the children recite answers to catechism questions they have been studying, and also teaching is provided on theological topics, e.g. explanation of our liturgy.

Every second and fourth sunday familys gather at Pastor Murphy’s home to see a video of Puritan pastors and influential figures and Puritan teachings followed by teaching and discussion. The gathering begins with food and fellowship. Fellowship continues after the teaching.
